The story of
St Michel's Madeleine

1755

Born in the 18th century, the famous Madeleine owes her name to the young maid who prepared these delicious cakes for Stanislas the King of Lorraine in 1755 in Commercy (France).

1986

Since 1986, St Michel has maintained the classic madeleine tradition, still baking all our madeleines in the birth place of Commercy .
